Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative is composed of 75 organic farmers in Lancaster County, PA, all sharing the mission to cultivate healthy, high-quality foods from small-scale family farms. They serve all of Eastern Pennsylvania, New York City and most of the tri-state area, connecting farmers and customers and delivering the best local and organic produce and humanely raised animals. Zone 7’s mission is to strengthen our local and regional food chain by helping restaurants, grocers and other organizations support small- and medium-scale sustainable farms. Founded in 2008, they were created to deliver the highest-quality ingredients New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania have to offer to chefs and everyday consumers week after week. Mid-Atlantic Conference for Start-Up Food Co-Ops

What:  The Mid-Atlantic Conference for Start-Up Food Co-Ops

When:  Saturday, April 16, 2011 8:30am-5pm

Where:  Philadelphia, PA

A new wave of food co-op formation is sweeping the country. In the Mid-Atlantic region at least 17 groups are in the process of organizing consumer retail food co-ops in their communities. The Mid-Atlantic Conference for Start-up Food Co-ops will provide information on the fundamentals of building successful member-owned enterprises.

This is an important event for all JC Food Co-Op Owners to gather crictical information, learn from established Co-Ops and network and assist other member-owners in their pursuits.

The JCFC is a member of MAFCA (Mid-Atlantic Food Co-Op Alliance) and will be arranging car pooling to the conference.  Please contact events@jcfoodcoop.coop if you are interested in attending.
